Retail Professional chosen in central North Island

Liquor King’s Ashley Brunel will proudly represent the central North Island at the ServiceIQ Retail Professional New Zealand Award in Auckland on 22 October.

Ashley works at Liquor King’s Hillcrest, Hamilton, store, having just moved there from the Horsham outlet. Liquor King Northern Regional Manager Lee-Ann Barns Lawton says Ashley has shown real drive and passion for the business. “He has shown great wins. The team at Horsham has given great feedback on Ashley and thrived from his management style.”

Ashley has completed his ServiceIQ National Certificate in Retail Level 2 qualifications and says he wants to learn as much as he can so he can become a store manager.

His regional finalist award was presented last night by ServiceIQ’s Retail & Wholesale Sector Manager Clare Savage at the Top Shop Retail Excellence Awards in Hamilton.

As the central North Island representative Ashley wins a trip to Auckland to attend the ServiceIQ Retail Professional New Zealand Award presentation at the Langham Hotel, Auckland, on 22 October. In addition to the highly-acclaimed national title, the winner’s employer will receive $1000 in ServiceIQ retail training.

ServiceIQ is the industry training organisation (ITO) for the aviation, hospitality, retail, travel, tourism, museums and wholesale sectors.

We’re all about empowering and motivating people to provide great service. This helps businesses remain competitive and New Zealand to be internationally recognised as a great place to live or visit. It also gives people working in our industries valuable skills and knowledge along with nationally recognised qualifications.
