EFTPOS NZ supplies to New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation

EFTPOS NZ official eftpos supplier to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation

EFTPOS New Zealand is proud to announce we are the official eftpos supplier to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.

October is International Breast Cancer Month and on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 October EFTPOS NZ provided 40 VeriFone VX 680 Mobile terminals to help with the most important annual fundraising campaign for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation – the Pink Ribbon Street Appeal. By being able to provide the street appeal with mobile eftpos machines, an opportunity is created to increase the amount raised, simply by giving people another option to donate. Following the success of the campaign last year more machines turned pink and popped up in towns across the country.

The mobile eftpos machines that were used throughout the country are not just fast, they’re equipped with ‘tap and go’ technology, so it is as quick as tapping your card on top of the machine and away you go. Simple as that. Donate a little, or a lot, it literally only takes a few seconds out of your day to donate. No more rattling around the bottom of your bag looking for loose change, instead just whip out your eftpos or credit card to help the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation raise much needed funds.

The NZ Breast Cancer Foundation is very active in our communities fundraising for breast health education and awareness, research, and to support women with breast cancer.

“It is fantastic to be able to support the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation, and provide them with the latest payments technology so their collectors can raise more money during the Pink Ribbon Street Appeal,” says Pete Hansen, General Manager, EFTPOS NZ. “We’re delighted to be able to assist in raising much needed funds to support those in our community affected by breast cancer”.

This year we have also come on board as “Supporter of the Day” for each of the Estée Lauder Companies Pink Star Walk events taking place in Auckland and, for the first time, in Wellington and Christchurch. All the money raised will fund breast cancer research, awareness for early detection, and support for women recovering from or living with breast cancer in New Zealand.

The events take place on the first three weekends in October, beginning with Wellington on the 4th where 700 people took action for breast cancer, and Auckland on the 11th. They are events like no other so dig out your pinkest and brightest outfit and join thousands of people across the country as we get fit, increase awareness of breast cancer and raise money to support NZ women. The Christchurch event is happening this Saturday 18 October, and has a 5km route and a half marathon option! Eftpos machines will be available on the night to help process last minute registrations, so even if you’ve run out of time to register in advance you can still enter the event on the night. For more information, go to www.pinkstarwalk.co.nz

Take action this October and support the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. Donate online and take part in the Christchurch Estée Lauder Companies Pink Star Walk this Saturday.
