Her priority will be to provide an independent voice for the small and medium sized Chambers who make up a significant part of the Chamber network.”
Ms Gundersen-Reid is looking forward to the challenge of utilising her governance experience at a national level, whilst remaining focused on looking after the interests of her local members.
“I’m delighted to be elected to the board of NZCCI which acts as a strong voice and advocate for all of its members. Part of my responsibility will be to represent the interests of the 25 chambers which operate outside of the four main centres and my experiences in Wairarapa and Manawatu will be invaluable.
“Each chamber across the country shares the same common goal: to help business be successful and to ensure they have the best platform off which they can operate. From the largest to the smallest, the challenge remains the same.
“I’m looking forward to applying my experiences from the last few years to assist chambers throughout New Zealand and also bringing the learnings from this new role back to my day job, which will undoubtedly be extremely useful.”
