BRANZ appoints two independent Directors to the Board
BRANZ Chair, Dr Helen Anderson announced today the appointment of Lesley Haines and Stephen Titter to the BRANZ Group Board of Directors. They are the first independent Board members to be appointed alongside five other construction industry nominated Directors.
Both Lesley and Stephen come to BRANZ with substantial experience in the management and governance of service oriented organisations.
“BRANZ is fortunate to have secured two Directors with the breadth of experience and knowledge that both Lesley and Stephen possess. The strategic, financial, and relationship management skills they bring to the Board will support the continued performance growth of BRANZ”, says Helen.
“For BRANZ to consistently transform research into accessible, actionable knowledge, we need to attract robust Governance skills, informed by a knowledge of customer focused delivery. BRANZ consistently partners with researchers, government and industry to tackle the challenge of building better homes, towns and cities for New Zealand. Lesley and Stephen will provide enormous insight and experience to this task.”
Lesley Haines has an extensive public sector and client focus background and is a former Deputy Chief Executive of the Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment. In addition Lesley has a strong understanding of health & safety issues at a leadership level, having played a significant part in the formation of Worksafe New Zealand.
Stephen Titter combines many years of practical financial and investment experience. Formerly a senior partner and Board member for Ernst & Young, he currently holds a number of independent Directorships including the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand.
