Russell McVeagh welcomes two new Partners

Russell McVeagh is proud to announce the admission of two new partners, Allison Arthur-Young and Chris Curran, who joined the firm's partnership from 1 December 2014.

Allison Arthur-Young has been with the firm's Environment, Planning and Natural resources group for nine years. She is very experienced and highly regarded by her clients and peers for her expertise.

Her practice covers all areas of resource management and local government law, with a particular focus on development projects, infrastructure, planning and policy matters.

In addition to law degree, Allison holds a BA in History and English and spent her early career advising on public law and local government.

Chris Curran joined Russell McVeagh in 2011 following six years at New Zealand's Crown Law Office. His association with Russell McVeagh dates back to 2000, when he was awarded a Russell McVeagh scholarship.

Prior to joining the firm, Chris completed postgraduate legal studies as a New Zealand Rhodes Scholar the University of Oxford.

Chris is a member of Russell McVeagh's Wellington Litigation team, specialising in commercial and public law disputes. He has a particular interest in class actions and judicial review.

Both Allison and Chris are talented and highly regarded lawyers, and also bring excellent leadership and staff training skills to their teams in Auckland and Wellington.

The firm is extremely proud to admit to new partners of such a high calibre, and would like to extend our warmest congratulations to them both.
