Fairer timeframes now in place for copper pricing

InternetNZ is pleased to see that the Commerce
Commission has seen reason around timing of its FPP.
By giving all concerned parties more time to submit, it’s ensuring a fairer process, rather than just relying on data provided by Chorus – the most interested of interested parties.
InternetNZ CEO Jordan Carter says that what's important is getting this right. To do that, we all need to work together closely and carefully.
"When the main outcome of all this is going to impact on the wallets of Kiwis, then we mustn't rush it."
The organisation is also pleased the Commission finally delivered a position on back-dating.
“Though we’d prefer it that there be no backdating – in fact we have a legal opinion to support that position – we are at least pleased that the Commission has deigned to have an opinion on it."
