Holden Pursues Kiwis’ Putting Prowess

MEDIA ALERT

Holden Pursues Kiwis’ Putting Prowess

Today, Holden’s pursuit for the country’s best putter begins. Holden Game on the Green, a bespoke putting competition that winds its way up hills, under cars and around corners, aims to uncover New Zealand’s King or Queen of the putt.

For the next four days, everyone is encouraged to give golf a go as the build up to the Holden NZPGA Championship begins. Housed on Queens Wharf, Auckland City from Wednesday 25th to Saturday 28th February, Holden Game on the Green encourages everyone to come along and put their putting skills to the test, trying out the truly unique course.

“Holden’s history with golf is long and proud and after an eight year hiatus, we’re delighted to again bring the game to all New Zealanders – professional, amateur, hacker and supporter alike,” says Marnie Samphier, GM of Marketing at Holden New Zealand.

“Holden Game on the Green offers everyone the chance to have a bit of fun on the putting green, give golf a shot and display your putting prowess.”

While this is all about having fun, players with the highest rankings will be named as Holden Game on the Green finalists and could get a grip on something other than putters – a brand new Holden for a weekend, a round of golf with a local golfing legend, a family weekend away or become a professional golfer’s caddy at the Holden NZPGA Championship.

Ten adult and ten children finalists will battle it out at the Holden NZPGA Championship, the first of two premier professional golf tournaments making up the New Zealand leg of the PGA Tour of Australasia, at Remuera Golf Club from 5th to 8th March.
