House of Travel Recognised as One of NZ’s Most Attractive Workplaces
An
inspirational approach to helping Kiwis travel the world has
earned locally-owned agency House of Travel inclusion in the
top 20 most attractive employers in New Zealand.
House of Travel was recognised as part of the 2015 Randstad Award, an international accolade which ranks companies according to research on public perception of them among nearly 8000 Kiwis.
The top 20 placing acknowledges House of Travel’s commitment to and investment in their people, their image and their organisation, and shows it is valued highly by New Zealanders, says House of Travel’s Human Resources Director Jayne Thornley.
“We are incredibly honoured to be recognised as a part of this prestigious group of businesses for the fourth year running,” says Thornley.
“At HOT we have a strong set of values including a sense of fun, high energy and pride in our work at all times. We love what we do, and it clearly shows, as recognised by the Randstad Award yet again this year.”
Thornley believes House of Travel’s fast-paced, innovative and fun-loving approach to business is what continues to attract Kiwi jobseekers to a career with the company.
“We also have a deep-seated commitment to celebrating success and recognising the achievements of our team,” she explains.
“Plus, we spend a lot of time getting involved in the local community – whether that’s a fun run or helping out at a local school – which is a really positive part of many “Hottie’s” jobs.”
This is the fifth year the Randstad Award employer branding research was conducted in New Zealand. The international research is conducted in 23 countries across Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas.
House of Travel are the only travel company to appear in the New Zealand Top 20 Most Attractive Employers list, which takes into account perceptions of the 150 largest employers in the country.
With more than 70 outlets throughout the country, including House of Travel retail and Orbit Corporate Travel stores, the company employs around 1000 people.
