RBNZ Inflation Expectations Survey Results

The RBNZ just released the results of their Q2 Inflation Expectations Survey.

The inflation expectations exceeded consensus:

1 year inflation expectations +1.32% (consensus 1.1%)

2 year inflation expectations +1.85% (consensus 1.8%)

The NZD has spiked higher in immediate response.

Current indicative levels are:

NZD-USD 0.7405 / 0.7430
NZD-AUD 0.9275 / 0.9300
NZD-EUR 0.6550 / 0.6575
NZD-GBP 0.4730 / 0.4755
NZD-JPY 88.85 / 89.10
