Matty Ma is again New Zealand’s best
Tuesday 26 May 2014
For a phenomenal third consecutive year Matty Ma
of Harcourts Albany has been crowned the top sales
consultant in New Zealand, marketing across rural,
residential, development and commercial properties.
Matty received her accolade at the 2015 Harcourts National Awards held last week at Vector Arena in Auckland.
Matty has experienced a meteoric rise in the real estate industry after immigrating to New Zealand in 1996. She has consistently placed in the Harcourts’ Top 20 chart over the past 10 years, winning the top spot four times, and has ranked number one in North Shore for the past 16 years thanks to her unrelenting work ethic and dedication to excellence.
With deals for the year including two for more than $18 million and another for $12.7 million, Matty’s seven days a week approach and single-mindedness are clearly working well. She says her secret to success is to “be yourself”. “You have to have a vision and be disciplined. Be ethical and work with the team.
“It’s easy to be a star but harder to be the brightest one. There are higher expectations from the market when dealing with the number one team,” she says. “It’s also been important to keep spreading the Harcourts team culture and integrity in the market place.”
Matty is also the 2013/2014 top sales consultant for Harcourts internationally, first out of 5,200 sales consultants across Australasia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Fiji, South Africa and the United States. Her ranking for 2014/2015 will be determined at the International Awards later this week.
Harcourts CEO Hayden Duncan says Matty works incredibly hard, and her ongoing success is extremely well deserved.
“To keep coming out on top, amid our nationwide team of hardworking, dedicated agents really demonstrates just how committed Matty is, and how much she deserves this accolade.”
Matty, who was a futures broker
and journalist in China, has worked hard to establish
excellent relations with overseas investors and new
immigrants.
Matty is also the country’s third top
performing rural sales consultant, thanks to the many rural
listings in the Albany area.
“The highlight of the past year really has been having to work fast in such a massive market demand, trying to meet all those needs by teaming up with the right people.”
