SKYCITY welcomes new SKYCITY Hotel Manager

SKYCITY welcomes new SKYCITY Hotel Manager

SKYCITY Auckland is proud to welcome Colin McClean as Hotel Manager for SKYCITY Auckland - one of New Zealand’s busiest hotels.

SKYCITY General Manager Hotels Bradley Burnett says SKYCITY is thrilled to have a Manager with Mr McClean’s extensive industry experience and skill in the SKYCITY Auckland hotels team.

“With close to ten years experience across all areas of hotel management including sales and operations, along with sound knowledge of the tourism industry in New Zealand, we are confident that Colin will make a positive impact for SKYCITY Hotel,” Mr Burnett says.

Mr McClean says he is excited to join SKYCITY Auckland, especially at such an exciting time for the Hotel, with occupancy rates high and a new branding campaign underway including refreshing staff uniforms and signage at the Hotel.

“I’m really excited to join the award-winning SKYCITY Hotel. Being one of the country’s busiest hotels with an occupancy rate averaging around 92 per cent and 108,000 rooms sold per year, it’s bound to be an exciting environment to be part of,” he says.

”I’m looking forward to bringing my enthusiasm and energy to this role in a busy, fast-paced environment. I think SKYCITY Hotel has so much to offer especially with New Zealand’s top landmark, the Sky Tower, on its doorstep and some of Auckland’s best restaurants moments away on Federal Street.”

Mr McClean joins SKYCITY Auckland from Accor Hotels, most recently as Hotel Manager for Ibis Wellington, and has worked at several Accor properties across New Zealand. He has also had senior sales and management roles at Ticketek, and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide at The Westin Auckland Lighter Quay. Mr McClean holds a Masters Degree in International Hospitality Management with First Class Honours and a Bachelors Degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management.
