Chapman Tripp Appoints New Managing Partner

Chapman Tripp has appointed Corporate partner, Andy Nicholls, as the new Managing Partner – Wellington for five years from today, 29 June. He also joins the firm’s Board.
Andy is New Zealand’s leading regulatory lawyer, advising clients in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands on regulatory and competition law issues in the electricity, gas, telecommunications and airport sectors. He has been a partner at Chapman Tripp for 11 years.
Andy replaces Mark Reese, who held the Wellington managing partner role for ten years and has now returned to full time legal practice as a partner in our national Banking and Finance team.
The firm’s primary managing partner, Andrew Poole, will continue in his Auckland-based role until June 2016. His title changes to Chief Executive Partner, with effect from today.
