Coretex appoints James Kyd as Chief Marketing Officer
AUCKLAND – Leading fleet management solutions provider Coretex has appointed James Kyd as its chief marketing officer. Kyd has previously held a number of senior international marketing positions and joins Coretex from his most recent role as CMO of Tait Communications.
Selwyn Pellett, chair of the Coretex board, says the company is delighted that Kyd has joined the company.
“We are very pleased to have someone of James’s calibre joining the Coretex leadership team. The timing of James arrival is perfect as we enter the advanced stages of the merger of ITHL and Imarda Ltd and embark on driving our global expansion strategy.
“New Zealand has always been world leader in the development of GPS-based telematics technology and now Coretex is positioned to be a world leader in taking its solutions to market,” says Pellet.
Kyd says the opportunity to be involved in a company with such a clear vision and market leading solutions that are mapped to customer needs is compelling.
"The potential for Coretex is huge, it already has a strong international list of customers, and a large revenue base with over 50 percent of revenue coming from US customers.
“Coretex understands that it needs to be at the heart of its customers’ businesses and is developing its solutions accordingly,” says Kyd.
Prior to Tait, Kyd spent 15 years with IBM in a number of international roles, with most of his time spent in sales and strategic marketing positions. Kyd is married with two children, and was educated in New Zealand – he holds a Bcom (Hons) from Otago University (Dunedin), and has completed post-graduate studies at Harvard Business School.
