Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce and Deloitte Private

Inaugural inductees to Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame

Congratulations are in order for the eight businesses that were inducted at the inaugural Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame awards presented by Deloitte Private and The Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

The eight businesses inducted were; Wellington Zoo Trust, J & D McLennan Ltd, CentrePort, Rembrandt, Amca Industries Ltd, Griffiths Drilling (NZ) Ltd, J.H. Whittaker & Sons Ltd and Bruce Buchanan Ltd.

“The creation of the Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame is to recognise and celebrate significant contributions by businesses to the economic and social fabric of our region,” says Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce & Industry CEO Mark Futter

These eight businesses received a prestigious award at a gala dinner held in Lower Hutt, as well having their contributions to the economic and overall health of their communities acknowledged and celebrated.

Deloitte Private Partner Mark Lash says it is an honour to support this initiative.

“Celebrating business success and the contribution that businesses make to their communities is something that we consider is very important and that we don’t do enough of as a country. The Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame initiative is a great way of recognising business excellence and success throughout the Wellington region,” says Mr Lash.

Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame will be celebrated as an annual event every July from this year with eight inductees per annum.
