Hifx Morning Update, July 21

The NZDUSD opens this morning at .6570.

The NZD has is up almost 1% against all of its major trading partners following comments from New Zealand’s Prime minister John Key at yesterday’s weekly press conference.

John Key stated that the NZD exchange rate has fallen “further and faster” than expected.

Gold prices plunged 4% yesterday to a five year low of ($1,088.05 an ounce) after 5 tonnes were sold through the Shanghai gold exchange.

WTI Crude Oil continues to slide currently down1.83% to $49.96 a barrel

World equity markets have had a positive start to the week:
