Now there’s My Food Bag for one

If you usually cook for one you know what a challenge it can be to instil variety into your menu. Now, My Food Bag has the answer with a new service designed just for you.

The innovative food home delivery service is introducing My Own Food Bag comprising quick, healthy and delicious recipes and ingredients for the single diner at home.

My Own Food Bag contains four recipes to feed one adult for three dinners and two adults for one dinner. The latter is perfectly sized for you and a guest – or perhaps with the second offering enjoyed as a next-day leftover lunch.

My Food Bag group CEO Cecilia Robinson says it’s a quick and delicious solution to the ‘what’s for dinner tonight’ dilemma for people who cook for one.

“Cooking for yourself can become routine and at times we all fall into the ‘same old, same old’, Ms Robinson says.

“However, the My Own Food Bag recipes are quick and easy without any waste and feature classic healthy and nutritionally balanced dinners, each with a little twist and delivered to your door…and just for you.”

Examples of My Own Bag recipes include Asian pesto fish with green rice and Mediterranean lamb meatballs on feta smashed potatoes. Recipes are exclusively developed for My Food Bag by celebrity cook and dietician Nadia Lim, a former MasterChef New Zealand winner.

My Own Food Bag is $94.50 for five meals with free delivery.

Note: One-person households are projected to be the fastest-growing household type increasing by 240,000 (an average of 2.0 percent a year) from 363,000 in 2006 to 602,000 in 2031. One-person households will account for 29 percent of all households in 2031, up from 23 percent in 2006.
