The ANZ Business Confidence & Own Activity figures for July have just been released. They came in worse than expected overall.

The Business Confidence fell sharply compared with the previous quarter:

-15.% versus -2.3% in June

The Business Own Activity numbers also dropped compared with the previous quarter:

+19.0% versus 23.6% in June

The NZD is lower in immediate response.

Current indicative levels are:

NZDUSD 0.6575 / 0.6600
NZDAUD 0.9015 / 0.9040
NZDEUR 0.6010 / 0.6035
NZDGBP 0.4210 / 0.4235
NZDJPY 81.60 / 81.85
