Spark opens pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy Note5 and S6 edge+

Spark announced today that the new Samsung Galaxy Note5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ are both available for pre-order online today at www.spark.co.nz. Spark is initially only making the pre-order available to its customers.

Pre-orders for both devices on an Open Term plan with interest free payments or on Ultra Mobile 24-month contracts will receive a $100 account credit. On top of this, the first 50 pre-orders for the S6 edge+ will receive a limited edition bespoke leather phone carrier from premium New Zealand designers Good Winter, with an opportunity for Spark customers to collaborate on and influence the design of the carrier before it is shipped.

Announced this morning at the Samsung Unboxed event, the Galaxy Note5 and S6 edge+ are evolutions of the Note4 and S6 edge respectively. The Note 5 incorporates many of the advancements made in the S6 and S6 edge. It comes with a 5.7-inch screen, and includes the famous S-Pen stylus, making it perfect for productivity and business applications. The S6 edge+ continues the premium design of the S6 and S6 edge, sporting the same metal and glass build, fast charging, and top-of-the-line camera, with the addition of a massive 5.7-inch screen.

Spark Home, Mobile, and Business Acting Head of Devices, Warren Duncan is excited about the exclusive pre-order, saying that it underlines Spark’s ambition to get the cool, new things into the hands of Spark customers first.

“The Samsung Galaxy Note5 and S6 edge+ are stunning advancements for both families of smartphones. For the customers who require a device built for business and productivity the new Note5 with its 5.7-inch screen, S-Pen stylus, and blazingly fast internals is the perfect companion.

“On the other hand, the S6 edge+ really pushes the premium design elements of the S6 and S6 edge, released earlier this year, while still delivering the big screen customers are increasingly demanding,” Duncan said.

Alongside the $100 credit for eligible plans,* the first 50 Spark customers who pre-order the S6 edge+ will receive a limited edition leather carrier from Good Winter.

Spark has partnered with the up-and-coming Auckland designers to collaborate on the case, which is made out of premium quality leather. The final design will be influenced by the input of Spark customers on social media between now and when the device ships.

Good Winter often ask their social media community on Facebook or Instagram for input on the design of their product, so we’re excited to be able to give our customers the chance to participate in the design process for this bespoke and utterly gorgeous leather case.”

The exclusive pre-order for Spark customers opens today and runs until the 18th of August when it will be opened up for everyone.

The Note5 RRP is $1299 or less than $55 per month interest free over 24 months, and the S6 edge+ RRP is $1399, or less than $59 per month interest free over 24 months.
