Electrical companies in running for Master Electricians top honours

Twelve companies have been selected as finalists in the electrical contracting industry’s most coveted honours, the Master Electricians Excellence Awards 2015.

The Master Electricians Excellence Awards, organised by the Electrical Contractors Association of New Zealand (ECANZ), is held every two years and is the industry’s way of recognising the very highest achievements of electrical contractors.

Finalists are selected for the quality of their workmanship and innovative solutions developed for challenging projects, encouraging the highest standards for individuals and companies.

ECANZ Chief Executive Neville Simpson said the finalists had been selected from a wide range of entries from ECANZ members, with all projects viewed onsite by three experienced judges from the industry.

“The very wide range of projects and the innovative solutions developed are exceptional,” said Mr Simpson. “Our finalists have really gone that extra mile for their customers and set very high standards in the profession.”

Finalist projects range from New Zealand’s first LED lit artificial hockey turf to fit outs of major developments and electrical work for the new vehicle bridge at Whangarei.
