AMP trainer takes out CCiNZ Trainer of the Year award
Leading life insurer and retirement savings provider, AMP, is proud to announce that AMP Learning and Development Consultant, Nikki Brough was awarded the 2015 CCiNZ Trainer of the Year award at the fifth annual CCiNZ Annual Regional and National Awards evening held in Auckland on Friday night.
Ms Brough was recognised for her role in establishing AMP’s Career Pathways programme, which enables employees to gain a National Certificate in Contact Centre Operations Level 3 (and NCEA Level 3) through on-the-job training. AMP is one of the first companies to launch a nationally accredited internal training programme of this type in New Zealand.
The Contact Centre Institute of New Zealand (CCiNZ) awards recognise and celebrate excellence in the Contact Centre industry. Finalists must demonstrate outstanding performance in leadership, education, stakeholder engagement, customer commitment and contact centre management.
Shaun Philp, General Manager of Human Resources at AMP New Zealand, says that he is extremely proud of Ms Brough’s achievement in winning the award ahead of strong competition from the other finalists from Xero and Housing New Zealand.
“Over the past 12 months Nikki has been instrumental in the successful launch of Customer Services Career Pathways – a programme of work that has set a benchmark for other New Zealand organisations to follow,” says Philp.
“Nikki has also shown strong leadership in finding innovative ways to deliver in-house training that has improved efficiency within our business without compromising on quality,” says Philp.
Ms Brough is part of the AMP U team, which is comprised of nine Human Resources professionals tasked with developing and executing an extensive range of in-house training including induction, financial literacy, sales, product knowledge, soft skills, values and leadership at AMP.
“AMP is committed to investing in the personal development of our employees for today and tomorrow,” says Philp. “As a business we see the benefit of this through employee retention and a strong level of internal promotion.”
In accepting the award Ms Brough said that it was humbling to be recognised at the CCiNZ national awards.
“CCiNZ does an outstanding job supporting, educating and engaging Contact Centre professionals in New Zealand. It’s a great honour to be recognised at their annual awards.”
