Country’s largest annual motorhome, caravan and outdoor expo
Country’s largest annual motorhome, caravan and outdoor expo confirms dates
The dates for the country’s largest annual motorhome, caravan and outdoor expo next year, the Covi NZMCA Insurance Motorhome, Caravan & Outdoor SuperShow have been confirmed as Friday,Saturday and Sunday the 11th, 12th and 13th of March.
The motorhome, caravan and outdoor expo will be held again at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds, in Greenlane, with organisers promising another fantastic event. This year’s move to March proved hugely successful, attracting record sales and crowds with organisers saying planning is already well advanced to deliver an even bigger and better Covi SuperShow for next year.
“We just had such a fantastic show in March this year,” Covi SuperShow General Manager David Culpan said. “We had over 18,000 people coming through the gates which was over twenty percent up on the number of visitors to the show in the past making it the largest motorhome and caravan exhibition ever staged in New Zealand. Exhibitors experienced a huge increase in sales and we had great feedback from visitors attending. We have some exciting plans for March next year to go up another notch again.”
The 2016 Covi SuperShow will again have the best motorhomes, caravans and accessories from New Zealand and around the world with a number of exhibitors choosing to exclusively launch new models and products at the Covi SuperShow.
Culpan says exclusive highlights for March will include a ‘terrific gate prize’ that is still under wraps but will be more than equal to this year’s Ultimate Road Trip, a 59 day MOTEK motor homing adventure across America, Australia and New Zealand worth $40,000 which was won by NZMCA (the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association) member, Libby Buttimore from Simpsons Beach, on the Coromandel.
The show also features a $10,000 Covi Cashback prize which was won by NZMCA members Peter and Gail Urquhart from Takapuna. The couple purchased a new Jayco Silverline caravan from South Auckland Caravans at the show which meant they were eligible for the draw to win a $10,000 cash refund on their purchase price.
The Covi SuperShow is the only motorhome and caravan expo endorsed and supported by the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association which runs a very successful rally in neighbouring Alexandra Park. This year the rally attracted over 700 vehicles making it one of the year’s largest rallies.
“There’s no way we are resting on our laurels,” Culpan said. “We are totally focused on providing visitors to the show the best motorhoming and caravanning exhibition we can, while giving our exhibitors the best platform possible to display their products and services.”
Although there are a number of smaller regional shows popping up around the country, the Covi SuperShow is the only show where all the major brands exhibit.
