Postie+ partners with KidsCan to help Kiwi kids in need
Postie+ has teamed up with children’s charity KidsCan in the lead up to Christmas to launch a new concept that will aim to help some of the quarter of a million New Zealand children living in hardship. The concept, Postie+One will allow Kiwis to help children nationwide via the dedicated campaign that will launch today.
The Postie+One concept will launch with a physical and online (predominantly childrenswear) pop-up store where, for every item purchased, another of the same item will be giftwrapped and donated to KidsCan. Pop-up in-store customers will be given a card to personalise and decorate, these will be delivered with the donated gifts.
Together Postie+ and KidsCan will deliver each gift to low decile schools before the end of the term. The concept will also be extended to online childrenswear purchases to allow those who cannot physically make it to the Auckland pop-up store to be involved.
Postie+ will also be selling KidsCan’s Christmas Crackers in store in the lead up to Christmas as an extension of the Postie+One concept.
“We’re very excited to announce Postie+ as a KidsCan supporter this Christmas, it’s an excellent partnership,” says KidsCan General Manager of Marketing and Fundraising, Jan Clark.
“There are more than a quarter of a million New Zealand children who are currently living in hardship, going without the basics in life. The Postie+One concept, is a great way to give Kiwis the chance to lend a helping hand this Christmas,” adds Clark.
“We are very excited about this project. Customers visiting the Postie+One pop-up in-store and online will see our exciting new selection of clothing for babies through to 16 year olds, we’re very proud to be launching such a high quality range during this concept. We hope Postie+One will help make this Christmas a little bit more special for some very deserving Kiwi families,” says Postie+ CEO, Henry Lee.
The pop-up store will open from the 16th - 29th of November at Ponsonby Central (Shop 4A). Kiwis who don’t live in Auckland will have the opportunity to get involved by purchasing from the Postie+One online store during the same time period.
In time for Christmas Postie+ and KidsCan will personally distribute the giftwrapped clothes to some of the 500 schools KidsCan works with.
