Q-Pulse 6.1 opens the door to EASA Compliance

Q-Pulse 6.1 opens the door to EASA Compliance

Software developer, Ideagen, has worked with key aviation organisations to release a version of its market leading safety management solution Q-Pulse to ease compliance with the latest EASA legislation.

The Occurrence Reporting Regulation ((EU) 376/2014) brings specific requirements to all aviation stakeholders on the reporting of occurrences and its subsequent processing and analysis, enabling better access to information in order to address global safety challenges.

As part of the changes, EASA is encouraging all stakeholders to review their in-house reporting policies, procedures and systems, as well as their external reporting practices.

In line with these changes Ideagen is delighted to announce that Q-Pulse now offers a solution for aviation companies with a need to submit to ECCAIRS (European Coordination Centre for Accident Reporting Systems).

Steven Cespedes, Ideagen’s Head of Aviation, said: “At Ideagen, early recognition of this new requirement and working with EASA to understand the format, has allowed us to design and implement a solution with a number of our SMS customers.

“The Q-Pulse EASA solution will support Mandatory Occurrence Reporting and offers the opportunity to integrate with an existing Q-Pulse SMS environment. The benefit of creating EASA formatted reports in line with existing reporting structures brings efficiency and a welcome continuity of analysis.”

Available on Q-Pulse SMS v6.1, this additional solution will allow aviation organisations to export Incidents in E5X format, allowing them to submit directly to ECCAIRS or the local authority, meeting the new reporting requirements.

Ideagen has already successfully delivered the EASA solution to a number of customers who place Q-Pulse SMS at the core of their operational safety and compliance.
