Vector’s Electric Vehicle Chargers Kept Busy

Hobson Street Rapid Chargers:

On average this week, our Hobson Street charging stations have been used seven times a day, and the average charge time has been 21 minutes.

During the past week, 154 kWh of electricity has been delivered, this amount of electricity would allow a Nissan Leaf to drive 890km.

Newmarket Rapid Chargers:

On average over the past week, these charging stations have been used five times a day, and the average charge time has been 15 minutes.

During the past week, 366 kWh of electricity has been delivered to these rapid chargers, and this amount of electricity would allow a Nissan Leaf to drive 2,115km.

Network summary for week ending 20 February 2016

Electricity

Vector crews attended three car v pole incidents in Mt Eden, Mt Roskill and Manurewa. A car also hit a pillar in Botany Downs.

Crews attended two house fires which occurred in Clendon Park and Pt Chevalier in order to isolate the electricity supply for safety.

Gas
Third party contractors caused damage to our networks in Tauranga, Campbells Bay, Takapuna, Hamilton and Avondale.
