Have you ever wondered how Bruce Wayne actually gets to the Batmobile to complete the transformation into Batman? Or What Bruce Wayne would rely on should he be caught in down town Gotham minus Bat suit and Batmobile?
All is revealed the highly
anticipated ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ which
opens in New Zealand cinemas on 24 March when Bruce Wayne,
played by Oscar winner Ben Affleck, climbs behind the wheel
of a Jeep Renegade to get to centre of the action. The
sequence in the film where Wayne and his Renegade nimbly
dodge collapsing buildings, fire bombs and walls of fire is
already on the screen thanks to an alliance between Jeep and
Warner Bros. Pictures.
Not only does this agreement see
the newest Jeep feature in the film, but it also means that
it’s possible to walk into a Jeep showroom in the USA and
Europe and buy Bruce Wayne’s Jeep Renegade. Which is more
than can be said, let’s face it, for the Batmobile.
The Jeep Renegade Dawn of Justice Special Edition in both film and video advertisement is based on the Jeep Renegade Latitude 4x4 and comes standard with a 2.4-liter Tigershark engine with MultiAir2, nine-speed automatic transmission, Jeep Active Drive 4x4, Selec-Terrain with four drive modes and a variety of features including, though its hard to imagine that Bruce would need it while making his trip into mayhem, the ParkSense rear backup camera. Perhaps he likes to park neatly and quickly before stepping out of the Jeep to tackle the chaos. Inside, the dual-zone automatic temperature control would have helped with the walls of flame.
So who will be buying the Bruce Wayne inspired Jeep Renegade Dawn of Justice Special Edition? As the advertisement speaks to how Wayne feels compelled to move toward danger rather than run away from it and he needs a Jeep to get there, Alfred the Butler, played by Jeremy Irons, says “You’re not afraid. You like chaos. The madder, the better (as Wayne is seen driving toward the destruction and chaos in the Jeep Renegade — navigating its way in the mayhem). And in these times, we need that. We need you to rush in when everyone else is running away.” In a Jeep, of course.
