Ross Pennington Wins New Zealand Market Achievement Award
7 March 2016
Chapman Tripp Finance Partner, Ross Pennington, was awarded the New Zealand Market Achievement Award at the 2015 KangaNews Awards held in Sydney in February.
This award is based purely on the votes of market participants. Issuers, investors and intermediaries are invited to vote for the best houses, deals and intermediaries in the year. They do not employ an awards committee or ask for supporting documentation for nominations.
Ross says: “I’m very proud of being part of a market which believes we can do things differently and lead in a challenging world.”
Ross is the first lawyer acknowledged in this category.
Ross has helped develop new markets, including the Kauri Bond market, and advises a range of local and international issuers and arrangers.
He is a long standing member in the Debt Capital Markets community and is a Board member and Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Financial Professionals (INFINZ).
Ross leads the advocacy function of INFINZ, which is currently focused on steps that can be made to strengthen New Zealand’s wholesale debt capital market.
