Mother’s Day High Tea at Crowne Plaza Queenstown


A delightful High Tea experience is being launched at Crowne Plaza Queenstown with a special tea just in time for Mother’s Day.

threesixy restaurant is launching a beautiful High Tea menu on Sunday May 8 offering the perfect opportunity to indulge in treats and spend quality time with loved ones.

Guests can enjoy a selection of top-quality finger sandwiches, a variety of homemade scones served with whipped cream, butter and raspberry jam and sweets’ including red fruit macarons and a classic vanilla crème brûlée served on a three-tiered cake stand.

Experience a traditional tea sipping afternoon with a range of Dilmah teas and coffee for $26 per person or add a touch of luxury with a glass of Brancott Estate bubbles for $34 per person, overlooking stunning Lake Wakatipu.

There are two sittings available on Mother’s Day to ensure guests can take their time to linger over layers of savoury and sweet treats, at 2pm or 4pm.

Head Chef Mirco Turtischi said the new High Tea menu at threesixty is perfect for catching up with friends, holding a quiet business meeting, and also a great offering for the conference and incentive market.

“Guests will be delighted with the range of homemade dainty cakes matched with savoury delicacies in a relaxed atmosphere with a ‘view to die for’,” he said.

“We’re expecting smiles all round for our launch on Mother’s Day, with Mums and their loved ones enjoying some quality family time.”

High Tea is also available for those celebrating the mother-to-be on a baby shower, or a bride-to-be on a hen party.

Crowne Plaza Queenstown General Manager Reinier Eulink said Chef Mirco certainly knows how to “execute an unforgettable High Tea”.

“Mirco has a well-deserved reputation when designing banqueting menus and we can’t wait for guests and locals to sample the new menu,” he said.
