Seresin Estate Announces ‘Living off the Land’
Waterfall Bay Dining Event
Friday 17th & Saturday 18th
June, 2016
Seresin Estate is pleased to announce two mid-winter lunches will be presented at their Waterfall Bay occasional restaurant in association with fine-dining Restaurateur Michael Dearth and Chef Ben Bayly, themed ‘Living off the Land’.
Ben Bayly has had an illustrious career in senior chef roles at Michelin starred restaurants in London and France (The Ledbury & The Square (London), Restaurant Jean-Paul Jennet (France)). Currently the Executive Chef at both The Grove and Baduzzi in Auckland, Ben is renowned for his modern-style using classic French cooking techniques.
Michelle Connor, Seresin Estate General Manager, said “We have always seen our Waterfall Bay Dining events as the culmination of our years’ work on the Estate. In many respects these lunches in June will celebrate the culmination of 20 years’ work, with the story of our evolution being told through our wines, our estate grown organic produce and the generous hospitality we are known for.”
Launched in 2000 with Peter Gordon, Seresin Estate Waterfall Bay dining events have aspired to bring both fine dining experiences and international food trends to Marlborough, and have become a sought-after event on the local culinary calendar.
Michael Dearth, owner of The Grove and Baduzzi restaurants in Auckland, said “Waterfall Bay is an amazing place that I have had the pleasure of visiting on several occasions; Ben (Bayly) and I are really looking forward to creating a menu that reflects and celebrates the philosophy and wines of Seresin Estate.”
Presented in the inimitable Marlborough Sounds, the lunch sittings will be limited to 45 people, with the place and atmosphere leisurely. Tickets are priced $249 and are inclusive of return transport coach from Blenheim, boat transfers from Picton to Waterfall Bay, canapés and bubbles on the boat, plus 5 courses with matching wines.
