Vector - leading the charge

Vector welcomes the Minister of Energy’s “Electric Vehicles Partnership Programme”, a package of measures to promote the uptake of electric vehicles in New Zealand released today.

Vector continues to support the uptake of electric vehicles in New Zealand by providing the charging infrastructure for these drivers.

Vector has six rapid chargers installed in Hobson Street, Newmarket and Silverdale, with another six standard chargers in the Britomart carpark, NorthWest carpark, Newmarket along with two public standard chargers at its office in Carlton Gore Road (and three in its basement carpark).

A further 15 rapid chargers will be installed before the end of the year – from Warkworth in the north, through to Takanini in the south.

EV drivers are already making full use of the chargers currently installed.

Newmarket with 86 Charges, followed by Hobson on 75.
