Fulton Hogan Managing Director to step down

Mike Holloway, Chairman of Fulton Hogan today announced Managing Director Nick Miller intends to step down from the position after seven years at the helm.

“After an 18 year career with Fulton Hogan, Mr Miller decided it was time to hand over the reins of the company,” Mr Holloway said.

Mr Miller has been credited with positioning the company for a strong future in both New Zealand and Australia. Under his leadership the company has made significant progress on its journey to zero harm, doubled profitability, consolidated its Australasian and Pacific geographic footprint, whilst retaining our family strong family ethos.

“Under Nick's leadership the company has enjoyed outstanding success. He has positioned the company for the future and we will now begin the search for his replacement – both internally and externally.

“While this search is underway, Nick will continue in the role of Managing Director providing stability and leadership for our customers, suppliers and 6,400 employees.”

Mr Miller said it was a difficult decision to leave Fulton Hogan, but knows he has left the company in a strong position to succeed.

“It has been a privilege to have led Fulton Hogan as its Managing Director for the past seven years,” said Mr Miller.

“I’m proud of the accomplishments of everyone at Fulton Hogan. Together we have grown the Australian business from 400 employees to over 2000, while also establishing a permanent presence in Fiji and entering into new sectors.

“This is the right time for me to hand over the baton to the next leader. The company is in a strong financial position, on track to deliver another solid result for our shareholders, and has a clear strategy for the future.”

Mr Miller has agreed to stay on as Managing Director until March 2017 or until his successor has been appointed and a neffective transition completed. Jane S Allen Company Pty Ltd has been engaged to assist Fulton Hogan with the search.
