Bridgestone takes out gold in Quality Service Awards

For the second year running, Bridgestone has taken out gold in the tyre retailer category in New Zealand’s Quality Service Awards.

Presented by Reader’s Digest, one of the world’s most respected publications, the annual independent survey directs consumers to the brands they can trust for outstanding service.

“Bridgestone is committed to providing products and services of the highest standard and this award reflects that commitment,” Bridgestone Australia and New Zealand Managing Director Andrew Moffatt said.

“Being the leading tyre retailer is a position we take very seriously so to win this award two years in a row is a great achievement and recognises the ongoing efforts of our people to provide the best tyres and the best service.

“We are also extremely grateful to our customers who continue to instil their trust in us by choosing the Bridgestone brand.”

The independent survey asked more than 1,500 New Zealanders to vote in an online questionnaire to decide the winners. Respondents were asked to nominate service providers in 30 categories across varied sectors. The highest rated company in each category was judged the Gold Standard winner.

“Many of the comments we received as part of the voting process related to speed of service and the willingness of our staff to take time to explain things,” Mr Moffatt said.

“These core service qualities are something our stores take very seriously so it’s great to see it’s what our customers are experiencing.”

According to Reader’s Digest Managing Editor Louise Waterson, the survey gives consumers the chance to share their views about companies that consistently deliver the very best customer service.

“It also provides our readers with a list of companies that they can turn to for excellence in service,” she said.

“To the benefit of all, the 2016 Quality Service Awards recognise the businesses with the happiest, most satisfied customers in their respective fields – at the same time encouraging the return of genuine customer service to our lives and our culture.”
