The Rees Hotel Queenstown Scoops Two Major Traveller Awards

The Rees Hotel Queenstown Scoops Two Major Traveller Awards

Once again The Rees Hotel Queenstown has been voted one of the top hotels in New Zealand by two major online booking agencies, as assessed by the international travelling public. Last week The Rees was one of only fifteen New Zealand hotels to gain the top Gold rating in Hotels.com’s Loved by Guests Awards 2016 and has been voted in one of only twenty-five New Zealand hotels recognised by Trip Advisors’ 2016 Travellers Choice Awards.

The Hotels.com programme celebrates hotels with the best review scores from 20 million genuine traveller reviews with the top gong requiring an average guest review rating of 4.7 or higher (out of 5). Within the list to attain Gold status that included hotels from 94 countries around the world, only four were from New Zealand and of that four, The Rees Hotel was the only one chosen from Queenstown.

Trip Advisor's worldwide award listings this year again includes The Rees, with over 1,000 traveller reviews of 1600, giving The Rees an 'Excellent' rating, the highest Trip Advisor score. The Rees is currently listed as 8th of 56 hotels listed by Trip Advisor in Queenstown.

Mark Rose, general manager of The Rees Hotel, commented "It's been a great start to the year with this recognition for The Rees and it's only May." Mr Rose continued, "These two separate awards are a credit to the consistently high standard of service provided by the hotel team. It's always good to receive an award based on the genuine feedback from travelers’ experiences when they stay with us, and for these I'd like to pay tribute to every one of the committed Rees Hotel staff who help us succeed every day."

The Rees Hotel is looking forward to another bumper year of innovation and recognition for both the hotel and its restaurant, True South Dining. Expect further exciting culinary events throughout 2016 including the upcoming mid- winter Christmas Dinner with a French theme and matching French wines. Construction of our luxury Lakefront Villas to be located just meters from the shores of Lake Wakatipu, is also underway, with an envisaged completion date of later this year.
