H&M To Open Its First New Zealand Store This Spring

H&M To Open Its First New Zealand Store This Spring

H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M), the international retailer known for fashion and quality at the best price in a sustainable way, is set to launch its first New Zealand store in Auckland in Spring 2016.

The long-awaited store opening will reveal a 2,300 square metre store at popular shopping destination Sylvia Park. Spanning two floors the store will present a wide selection of the latest trends, timeless classics and inspirations for customers to create their own personal style.

“We are eager to open the doors to the first H&M New Zealand store later this year,” says Daniel Lattemann, Sales Manager for H&M New Zealand. “We look forward to introducing fashion-loving H&M Kiwi customers to our exciting offers and we promise it will be worth the wait.”

The store will open with the highly anticipated H&M AW16 Studio collection which for women is an elevated collection of individual pieces rich in detail, from the precision of cut to the embroideries that appear throughout. Tailoring has oversized shoulders and a fitted waist, an hourglass shape which contrasts with Swedish folkloric influences in both silhouette and embellishment. Meanwhile, long-sleeve draped dresses bring glamour and softness.

For men the bomber jacket has been reinvented, either elongated or cut at the waist in corduroy to play with traditions. Functionality adds a utilitarian edge, like the zip-up fleece jacket, or a nylon vest with pulls at the waist for layering. Every detail counts, from the T-shirts and fine rollnecks in silk and pima cotton, or the accessories, like mohair beanies, wool scarves and leather shoes with platform tread soles.
