Trusted

Skinny Mobile is the latest business to be accredited under theConsumer Trusted business programme.
To become Consumer Trusted, a business must meet Consumer NZ’s strict code of conduct that focuses largely on consumer law such as the Fair Trading Act and Consumer Guarantees Act. A business must show it exceeds the minimum requirements of the law.
The Consumer Trusted programme has been running since 2014 and encourages businesses to deliver exceptional customer service. Skinny joins Flick Electric, Inspire Net, Resene Color Shop, Shoe Clinic, Triton Hearing and Woohoo NZ Tax Refunds, which also carry the Consumer Trusted label.
Consumer NZ general manager – business Derek Bonnar said achieving Consumer Trusted status was a significant achievement for Skinny Mobile.
“Consumer Trusted accreditation requires businesses to commit to excellent customer experiences. We’ve worked closely with Skinny Mobile over the past few months and are delighted with the commitment the company has made.”
Skinny Mobile also won Consumer NZ’s People's Choice award this year following a survey of 8,600 Consumer NZ members. “It’s clear Skinny is providing a great customer experience and we congratulate it on these awards,” Mr Bonnar said.
Skinny Mobile brand manager Ally Young said the team was thrilled to receive Consumer Trusted accreditation.
“It's independent proof that consumers can rely on Skinny to give customers a great experience when they use our products,” Ms Young said.
“Going through this process ensured we checked all our policies and experiences to ensure they were shipshape, and can give customers the confidence we're doing the best by them at all times.”
By using Consumer Trusted businesses, New Zealand consumers can be confident they are dealing with market leaders that put the customer first. Consumer Trusted businesses are required to deliver over and above consumer law.
