Business interest prompts Start-Up café extension
A healthy interest in ‘Start-Up Café’ by Northland’s business community has led to it being extended a further three months to the end of September.
“We have seen strong value in Start-Up Café that has been attended and that has been the prime motivation for us to extend it,” says Joseph Stuart, Northland Inc General Manager – Business, Innovation & Growth.
“The sessions gave those who came along the opportunity to grab a coffee, test their thinking and explore avenues to progress their ideas in a relaxed and informal environment throughout Northland.”
He says experience has shown that getting good advice early can lead to a more sustainable business model and help to identify opportunities or customers who may have been previously overlooked. In a number of meetings it also helped identify the risks and potential pitfalls of the business ideas or model being presented.
“We have been able to help businesses think about how to structure their business and get the right advice early to improve their chances of success,” says Joseph.
“But also, the direct contact with Northland entrepreneurs with ideas and dreams is inspiring and our team look forward to the Start-Up Café sessions.”
The extension began on July 1 and will go through to September 30 throughout the region in Kaitaia, Kerikeri, Kaikohe, Whangarei, Dargaville and Mangawhai Heads.
Start-up Café sessions last for 45 minutes each between 9am – 12pm and can be booked by visiting www.northlandnz.com or email the team at growth@northlandinc.co.nz to book your session.
