Experienced Waiheke Island real estate agents Louise and Andy Roke to represent New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty
Well-known Waiheke Island real estate agents Louise and Andy Roke today join New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty (NZSIR) as the brand enters the local market for the first time.
The Rokes, who have listed and sold a large portfolio of properties on Waiheke Island since 2009, join NZSIR as the island’s first licensees after leaving the Mike Pero Real Estate franchise.
The move comes at a time of major expansion for NZSIR, with the leading real estate agency poised to launch more offices throughout the country. The brand new, purpose-built Waiheke Island office on 151 Ocean View Road at Oneroa Beach will open on August 12, 2016.
Louise Roke says she and Andy jumped at the opportunity when NZSIR approached them to join.
“There is simply something about Sotheby’s realty that we couldn’t resist. They have an excellent reputation. In real estate, your reputation is everything; everyone and every property deserves the high standard that NZSIR offers,” Louise says.
“It’s perfect timing for NZSIR to open an office here on Waiheke now, as the market is showing strong demand for waterfront properties and luxury homes. With Waiheke being acknowledged by Lonely Planet as the fifth best region in the world to visit and voted fourth best island in the world by Conde Nast Traveler in 2015, international interest in Waiheke is definitely rising.
“NZSIR offers the vendor a point of difference to present their property to a truly international, national and now devoted local market with agents that know the island like the back of their hand. With the international and national reach that NZSIR has, we already have other agents asking us for property for their clients,” she adds.
NZSIR business development director Chris Jones says the expansion into Waiheke Island is significant for the market.
“The Sotheby’s real estate brand is so relevant for Waiheke. With the addition of the Rokes as licensees, we are offering a unique proposition of accessible, local knowledge and connections, with access to a global network. It will open up opportunities in the luxury end of the market, but also best-in-class properties no matter where they sit in the market.”
Jones, who also lives on Waiheke Island but is based in Auckland, says the Rokes are a great addition to the NZSIR brand. “We’re thrilled to have the Rokes join our growing team. It’s a great meeting of local experience and connections, and global reach.”
