Auror Invites Fuel Retailers to Fill Up on Free Software
Free access to software platform helps fuel retailers fight thefts
AUCKLAND, 3 August 2016 –
Crime-fighting software company Auror is making a
free
version of its software platform available to fuel
retail businesses under a new, tiered pricing offer
announced today.
The base level Auror platform, which allows single-site petrol stations to report and track crime, will now be free for fuel retailers to use, while a more full-featured version that links multiple sites will carry an annual subscription fee.
Auror Head of Product
Tom Batterbury says that the offer is designed to make
the
platform more accessible for petrol stations and
improves the intelligence outputs Auror provides to
retailers and Police.
“We believe a collaborative partnership between industry and Police needs to be underpinned by fast, accurate, and powerful information. We’re transforming how
police and businesses work together to prevent and solve crime in real-time, nd remain committed to providing the best crime prevention platform in the world,” says Tom.
“Introducing free access for fuel retailers to our base level platform will help remove the barriers to start sharing information, and we’re excited to start working with an even larger group of businesses to prevent crime.”
Retail crime like shoplifting and fuel theft costs New Zealand businesses nearly $2 million per day. Reducing this figure has multiple flow-on effects, such as improved economic output and reducing the prevalence gateway crimes that can lead down a path of more serious offending.
Auror’s software has helped affect hundreds of arrests, prevented thousands of crimes and helped retailers recover millions of dollars in losses.
“We invite businesses to sign up for our free version and try it out today,” says Tom.
To sign up for Auror, businesses need to register at auror.co/auror-engage-business or email joinus@auror.co to begin a short vetting process.
