Exclusive real estate agency opens in the Bay of Islands

Leading luxury real estate agency New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty (NZSIR) are poised to open an office in Kerikeri as part of a significant nationwide expansion.

Located in the former Poppies Bookstore building at 68B Kerikeri Road, the new office will open on August 12, 2016, with well-known NZSIR real estate agents Esmae Farrington, Chester Rendell and Jane Nelson at the helm. The Bay of Islands-based trio offer a wealth of local knowledge and more than 30 years of premium real estate experience between them.

NZSIR business development director Chris Jones says the expansion into Northland was a natural progression for the premium property brand.

“The quality and variety of properties in the Bay of Islands and wider Northland region is outstanding and we’re thrilled to be opening a dedicated office space to showcase them and, in turn, achieve great sales results,” he says. “Together with Esmae, Chester and Jane’s local knowledge and experience – as well as NZSIR’s superior global reputation – the opportunity and reach for these extraordinary properties is unprecedented in the Bay of Islands.”

The new office will further enhance NZSIR’s strong national and international presence in the luxury real estate market. The agency already has 15 offices stationed in premium locations around New Zealand, such as Auckland’s Herne Bay, Nelson and Queenstown, with another office set to open this month on Waiheke Island.

“The location of our office in the heart of Kerikeri’s busy main shopping area is ideal,” Jones adds. “It’s central, easily accessible and is an excellent space to meet clients and present our continuously growing portfolio of world-class properties. With direct street frontage, we’ll also be able to display our vendors to the significant walk-past traffic, particularly during the busy summer months.”

NZSIR licensee Esmae Farrington says the new space will assist in facilitating an unparalleled service for both national and international clients.

“The Bay of Islands and Far North are two of the country’s most sought-after areas,” she says. “There’s strong international interest in the north, and retirees and young families from around New Zealand find it particularly appealing because of the opportunity to secure premium lifestyle and waterfront properties.”

The Unispace-designed Kerikeri premises will also be one of NZSIR’s first locations to feature new technology in the form of a fully-interactive digital screen. Designed by Auckland-based digital solutions company Labyrinth, the innovative touchscreen will enable clients to view NZSIR’s entire property portfolio from the office’s window 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
