ParrotDog raises $2million in two days

ParrotDog raises $2million in two days

Wellington-based craft brewers ParrotDog launched their equity crowdfunding campaign on Wednesday, and raised their maximum goal of $2million in less than 2 days.

ParrotDog will spend the money raised to set up a new brewery in Lyall Bay, which they plan to have up and running within the next few months. Moving into this new space will enable ParrotDog to triple production and have their own on-licence bar.

“We’re really excited to get to the full $2million in just two days. Now it means we can execute our entire plan without any compromise or delay.” says ParrotDog co-founder Matt Stevens.

“We’ve met so many people over the past two days that have supported us. We’re currently at Beervana Festival and it’s so great to meet all of our investors who are coming over and introducing themselves.” says Stevens.

“If any of our other pledgers want to come by, we’re celebrating at our pop up bar at the Vivian Street brewery tonight until 11pm. This is a public event as part of the Road to Beervana festival”.

ParrotDog are the third brewery in New Zealand to equity crowdfund, and the only one to raise the $2million maximum allowed under the legislation.
