2016 F.A.W.C! Summer Series Launches in Style

The F.A.W.C! Food and Wine Classic summer series was launched last night in style at Monica Loves in Napier. Celebrating F.A.W.C!’s fifth birthday, the bubbles were flowing, the atmosphere was fizzing and a special F.A.W.C! cocktail toasted the event for the launch of the 2016 F.A.W.C! Summer series programme.

Food and Wine lovers will be delighted with the announcement that tickets for Summer F.A.W.C! Food and Wine go on sale on the 4th of September.

F.A.W.C! database members will have special pre-sale access to buy tickets on Friday 2nd September with tickets for the general public available from Sunday the 4thSeptember at 9am via the F.A.W.C! website www.fawc.co.nz.

This November we celebrate F.A.W.C!’s fifth birthday. It seems like a long time ago Hawke’s Bay Tourism decided to dip their toes into the unknown and start a food and wine festival with a twist. Hawke’s Bay has a global reputation for the quality of its wine and the incredible food grown here, making it the perfect place to host a food and wine festival. The event has grown considerably since the first year, getting bigger and better each year.

There are 80 delicious events over 10 glorious Hawke’s Bay days in the 2016 Summer F.A.W.C! schedule totalling just over 8000 tickets for keen F.A.W.C!er’s to snap up. Events range from $10 to $260 in price and include everything from cooking classes, to vineyard picnics, beer appreciation days and themed dinners of all descriptions.

Hawke’s Bay Tourism General Manager and F.A.W.C! organiser Annie Dundas said the organisation is excited to be celebrating F.A.W.C!’s fifth birthday, “We are always amazed at the event creativity that Hawke’s Bay’s food and wine folk come up with and this F.A.W.C! is no different. We have a fantastic line up of unique events, F.A.W.C! goers are in for a real treat”.

F.A.W.C! Food and Wine Classic, is a seasonal event series held twice a year in Hawke’s Bay. Winter F.A.W.C! is held every June and Summer F.A.W.C! every November.
