CityLife Auckland Receptionist Judged NZ’s Best

CityLife Auckland Receptionist Judged NZ’s Best to Compete in Paris - for Immediate Release

MS PRIYANKA (Payal) SHARMA of CityLife Auckland has been awarded the AICR New Zealand 2016 Receptionist of the Year.

AICR New Zealand is part of the international association of luxury hotel front office managers Amicale Internationale des Chefs de Réception. Each year it holds the prestigious award for New Zealand’s best luxury hotel receptionist, with selection criteria weighted to an individual who shows passion and dedication for the industry.

Candidates for the award were interviewed by a panel of five judges including previous winners of the award and the AICR President on subjects such as finance, staffing, marketing, personal level of conduct and confidence.

Payal will represent New Zealand in Paris at the International Receptionist of the Year competition in February 2017.

“I am passionate about working with people and so glad that my job allows me to do so. I am so excited with the award and very grateful to AICR for this amazing opportunity. It is an absolute privilege to be representing my hotel, Citylife Auckland and my country, New Zealand on an international scale in Paris next year,” says Payal Sharma.

Payal joined CityLife Auckland, a busy four star-plus hotel, part of the Heritage Hotel group, in 2012 and has been recognised for her commitment to excellence with several promotions.

“I am so thrilled for Payal. It’s a terrific achievement and wonderful recognition of her hard work and exceptional skills. Everyone here at CityLife Auckland is very proud of her. Payal represents daily our company H.O.P.E. values and now she will present these on the world stage,” says Nicole Lawson, general manager of CityLife Auckland.
