Agency expands to accommodate thriving Marlborough property market

With the demand for premium properties in Marlborough continuing to rise, leading real estate agency New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty (NZSIR) has accelerated its presence in the region by unveiling a new luxury office space in Blenheim.

The boutique Unispace-designed office, located in the former Air New Zealand premises at 3 Maxwell Street, opened for business last week. NZSIR managing director Mark Harris says the relocation is an integral part of the agency’s significant nationwide expansion.

“The Marlborough market is enjoying strong national and international interest, and buyer activity in the higher price bracket is continuing to increase,” says Harris. “The standard and range of coastal and lifestyle properties here is outstanding and we’re delighted to have a suitably impressive place to showcase them for our vendors and, in turn, achieve great sales results. The relocation also means we now have direct street frontage, enabling us to display our unique portfolio to walk-past traffic.”

Top Marlborough real estate agents Sophie Greer, Mike Barnett and Tim Crawford will continue to represent NZSIR. In addition to their unrivalled knowledge of the regional property market, the trio hold an exceptional track record of high-profile sales, collectively spanning more than 40 years.

“Together with Sophie, Mike and Tim’s local knowledge and extensive experience – as well as NZSIR’s superior global reputation – the opportunity and reach for these extraordinary properties is unprecedented in this area,” adds Debbie Cooper, NZSIR sales manager for the Nelson and Marlborough region.

NZSIR already has a strong domestic and international presence in the luxury real estate market, with 15 offices stationed in premium locations around New Zealand, including Auckland’s Herne Bay, Nelson and Queenstown. As part of its nationwide expansion, two new NZSIR offices have opened on Waiheke Island and the Bay of Islands.

Plans are also in place for the Blenheim premises to feature new technology in the form of a fully-interactive digital screen. Designed by Auckland-based digital solutions company Labyrinth, the innovative touchscreen will enable clients to view NZSIR’s entire property portfolio from the office’s window 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
