MYOB connects small business to success

The future of New Zealand’s small business and business management industry is up for debate at MYOB’s two-day Partner Connect event kicking off in Auckland today.

The event brings together hundreds of accountants and bookkeepers from around New Zealand to discuss the future of the industry, hear from MYOB about upcoming technology developments that will change how small businesses succeed, and gather ideas from peers as they share case studies and experiences.

“MYOB is dedicated to the local market. In the last year we’ve invested more than $50 million in R&D to provide our customers with the latest cloud-based business management technology,” says MYOB NZ General Manager James Scollay.

“We look forward to hosting attendees at Partner Connect to discuss how we can all work together to help New Zealand businesses succeed.

“We’ll be talking through our Connected Practice strategy of bringing together transaction processing, compliance and advisory services to transform the work of small business advisors.

“MYOB is now one of the largest investors in the local tech scene having spent more than $200 million on acquisitions including Bank Link, PayGlobal and most recently Green Tree. We’re now the leader in payroll solutions with approximately 1 million New Zealanders regularly paid through MYOB companies.

“We have a broader range of products that allows us to support start-up businesses as they grow and develop into larger enterprises, and our customer service offering means there is someone ready to help at the end of a phone line. MYOB has transformed its services and offers the latest cloud-accounting, online payroll and business management solutions that help New Zealand SMEs to succeed.

“We’d welcome any accounting practices that want to come along to discuss the future of the industry and how we work together to help small business to grow and flourish,” says Mr Scollay.

Partner Connect takes place at Sky City Convention Centre on Thursday and Friday. For more information visit www.myob.co.nz
