Kahungunu Asset Holding Company Limited


Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated is pleased to announce the two successful Director appointments on the Kahungunu Asset Holding Company, Pania Tyson-Nathan and Heather Te Au-Skipworth.

We also acknowledge the outgoing Director Mike Paku who has been appointed by the Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated Board as the Chair of the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee. Mike’s loyal service and dedication on the Kahungunu Asset Holding Company was valuable and appreciated.

Pania is the Chief Executive of New Zealand Māori Tourism and has a wealth of knowledge and experience across all government sectors. Heather is the founder of Iron Māori, a movement that is changing lives by transforming lifestyle messages and choices within a Māori population where traditional health systems have failed to do so. Heather’s current focus is to increase Māori economy. Pania and Heather will each bring a range of skills to enhance the expertise of our current directors, Hayden Hape, Trevor Moeke, Paora Ammunson, Taine Randall and Rangi Manuel.

Together the Kahungunu Asset Holding Company Board of Directors provide leadership in a whole range of commercial developments from whenua to fishing, employment to investment and property acquisition to aquaculture.

The Kahungunu Asset Holding Company Ltd. is the entity that was established in 2005 under the Māori Fisheries Act 2004, to receive and manage the Treaty Fisheries Settlement Assets on behalf of Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated.
