Mitre 10 loyalty programme spreads its wings
Mitre 10, the country’s biggest home improvement retailer, is making further loyalty programme changes following its decision announced last month to spread its wings by joining Air New Zealand Airpoints.
Mitre 10 General Manager - Marketing, Dave Elliott, says that following a review of the available programmes the company will withdraw from Fly Buys early next month.
“These changes follow an in-depth review on how we can best stay close to and understand our customers and take full advantage of current and future technologies to offer them the most satisfying and rewarding experience while shopping at Mitre 10,” Mr Elliott said.
“We have greatly valued our long term association with Fly Buys, and our customers who are Fly Buys members can continue to earn Fly Buys points on their purchases at all Mitre 10 and Mitre 10 MEGA stores throughout the country right up until our change-over to the new programme on 1 November 2016.
“At that point we move exclusively to our partnership with Airpoints.”
For those customers who already have membership of Air New Zealand Airpoints, they can currently earn Airpoints Dollars on Mitre 10 purchases, and can redeem these for flights and through the online Airpoints Store.
“Over the coming weeks we will be in touch with our customers directly, including members of our Mitre 10 Home Improvement and Mitre 10 Garden Clubs and our trade customers to explain the changes to our loyalty programme,” Mr Elliott said.
