Western Union Business Solutions announce Mark Davis as Head of Australia and New Zealand

 

SYDNEY, 18 OCTOBER, 2016 - Mark Davis has been appointed as the new Head of Western Union Business Solutions in Australia and New Zealand.

Davis was formerly Managing Director and Asia Pacific Regional Business Head with Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong and Tokyo for ten years.  He was also a Board Director for Deutsche Securities Asia for three years.  Prior to this, he worked with JP Morgan and Citibank across Asia Pacific, the UK and Australia, and commenced his career with Bankers Trust Australia in Sydney.

Announcing Davis’ appointment, Regional Director of Asia Pacific, Middle East and India, Simon Glendenning said, “Mark is an experienced and highly regarded business leader, with a long and successful domestic and international career in banking and finance.  We are delighted to add such a well-respected business leader to head our operations in the Trans-Tasman region.

“With over 20 years in senior leadership and management positions, Mark’s addition to Western Union Business Solutions will help the strategic direction of the company in the region, which is rapidly changing as customers and businesses continue to adapt to technological advances.  He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience across diverse business lines, multiple markets and client segments.

Speaking on his appointment, Mr Davis said, “I am very pleased to be appointed Head of Western Union Business Solutions in Australia and New Zealand and looking forward to working with the talented Western Union team, and to the exciting challenges and opportunities ahead.

Mr Davis assumed his new role in September 2016.
