NorthTec anticipates growth in demand for Pearson Test of English
Immigration New Zealand (INZ) has recently announced the approval of Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) as proof of English language proficiency for all visa categories with an English language requirement from 21 November 2016.
This means for that first time all visa applicants to New Zealand will now have a wider range of government-approved English language testing options. PTE Academic is already accepted by 100 per cent of New Zealand universities and widely used by student visa applicants.
NorthTec, New Zealand’s first and only international education provider to operate an official Pearson Test of English Academic test centre, has responded to this announcement by adding more test dates to accommodate anticipated demand.
The test centre is centrally located at NorthTec’s International Campus in Queen Street, Auckland.
Vern Dark, Council Chair of NorthTec said: “The approval from the New Zealand government is testament to the integrity of PTE Academic. At NorthTec, we will continue to provide an excellent testing environment to support PTE candidates and assist them in receiving faster English proficiency results.”
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) is the world’s leading computer-based test of English for study abroad and immigration. One of the key benefits of PTE Academic is providing fast results, typically delivered within five business days. All tests are booked online and Pearson offers a range of practice materials to help candidates prepare.
David Barnett, Managing Director of Pearson Australia and New Zealand said: “Pearson looks forward to assisting the New Zealand government with recruiting skilled migrants to their workforce. Together with our New Zealand partner, NorthTec, we are committed to providing high quality, secure and seamless service.”
