ARANZ Medical’s Dr Bruce Davey awarded a Prime Minister’s Business Scholarship

CHRISTCHURCH, NZ, 21 September, 2016 – Dr Bruce Davey the Chief Executive of ARANZ Medical, a specialist in 3D scanning and informatics solutions for the healthcare sector, has been awarded a 2016 Prime Minister’s Business Scholarship.

Dr Davey is one of nine senior executives and business owners who have been given the opportunity to attend the world’s most prestigious business schools after receiving a Prime Minister’s Business Scholarship. Dr Davey will attend the Senior Executive Programme at London Business School.

Dr Davey says, “I’m delighted to be a recipient of one of these very prestigious business scholarships from the Prime Minister. Attending London Business School will provide invaluable knowledge and tools for managing strategic priorities, team development and sustaining competitive advantage as we continue to undergo a period of rapid growth internationally.”

ARANZ Medical’s 3D scanning and information solutions for skin and wound assessment transform clinical assessment processes, improve quality of care, and make healthcare more cost-effective. Key innovations include: Silhouette, an FDA-approved advanced wound surveillance system which supports precise and productive wound management in clinical practice and research; and FastSCAN which enables the custom-fit of orthotics and prosthetics.

Dr Davey say he also looks forward to benefiting from being part of a premium global network of attendees from London Business School.

ARANZ Medical’s technology is being used in over 35 countries in a range of settings from clinical researchers in rural Africa studying the Buruli ulcer, one of the most neglected tropical diseases, to the largest healthcare providers in the US and UK.

This week ARANZ Medical was named as the winner of the Bayer Supreme Innovator of the Year in the 2016 New Zealand Innovators Awards, and was also named as one of Ten Hot Emerging Companies in the TIN100 Report. This followed international success earlier in the month, the Christchurch based company won the 2016 Private Sector Excellence Award from the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) in Brasil.
