AUCKLAND, Friday 25 November 2016 - Xero has been recognised as a global business leader at the New Zealand International Business Awards in Auckland last night.
Named as the winner of the Excellence in Leadership award, Xero’s Founder and CEO Rod Drury accepted the award for Xero.
Sponsored by Ross Buckley, Executive Chair KPMG the award recognises the efforts of Xero’s diverse global team in defining the company’s organisational strategy and direction, and actively committing to the continual growth of the business on the international stage.

With more than 862,000 subscribers globally and $303 million Annualised Committed Monthly Revenue (ACMR), Xero is the leading cloud accounting platform in Australia, New Zealand, and United Kingdom and fast emerging in the United States, Asia region, Canada and South Africa. Xero recorded more than $1 trillion over 450 million incoming and outgoing transactions in 12 months, signifying how large the Xero data set has become.

Ritchie, Chief Product Officer. Duncan has managed one of
the largest data migrations in the region to Amazon Web
Services and leads development at Xero, with over 1,400
product updates and features delivered in just the last
year.
• Sankar Narayan, Chief Financial Officer.
Sankar is a seasoned global public company executive and
technology leader who leads Xero’s global financial,
operational and strategic function.
• Rachael Powell,
Chief People Officer. Rachael oversees Xero’s People
Experience team looking after Xero’s 1,500 people
globally.
• Kirsty Godfrey Billy, Chief Accounting
Officer. Kirsty looks after Xero’s financial operations to
create a beautiful internal experience to support our
teams.
• Tony Stewart, Chief Data Officer. Tony is
responsible for maximising the value Xero gets from its data
assets through data driven process automation, advanced
analytics and insights, and value added customer
experiences.
Bolstering the global leadership team are our country managers in regions throughout the globe, reporting to Drury.
• Anna Curzon, Managing Director of
New Zealand. With more than 30% of the market using Xero,
Anna is establishing the next phase of growth.
• Trent
Innes, Managing Director of Australia. Our biggest market,
Australia has over 380,000 subscribers and continues to
expand.
• Gary Turner, Founder of Xero United Kingdom.
The UK is fast becoming Xero’s next growth engine with
164,000 subscribers at 30 Sept, 61% year-over-year growth,
supported by a UK regulatory environment that helps drive
innovation in financial services and
accounting.
• Newly appointed, Keri Gohman, President
of Americas, will take Xero to the next stage of
growth.
• Alex Campbell, Managing Director of Asia,
where Xero opened an office in Singapore earlier this year
as an emerging market for Xero.
