MediaWorks Radio Shuffles 2017 Lineup, Zumbo’s Just Desserts Gets Sweet Results & Story’s Christmas Track Hits #1

Wednesday saw MediaWorks Radio announce a number of major lineup changes across its radio brands for 2017.

The Edge Afternoons welcomes Jono Pryor and Ben Boyce as co-hosts alongside Sharyn Casey on New Zealand’s most listened to radio network. In their place, George FM radio host Thane Kirby moves to The Rock Afternoons alongside Duncan Heyde.

At the other end of the day, The Morning Rumble will welcome back Andrew Mulligan after three years, replacing Tom Furniss who is moving overseas.

Finally, current The Edge Afternoons co-host Clint Roberts will join George FM as part of a refreshed George FM Breakfast.

New reality baking programme Zumbo’s Just Desserts is proving a sweet success with New Zealand audiences. On both Monday and Tuesday last week, the programme won its timeslot in its target demographic of viewers aged 25-54.

Monday was a particularly delicious result, drawing a cumulative audience of 508,406 (5+ cume) and winning its timeslot in all key commercial demographics: 25-54, 18-39, 18-49 and Household Shoppers with Kids.

Friday’s comedy night lineup saw The Graham Norton Show win its timeslot in 25-54, 18-39 and 18-49, and Live at the Apollo win its timeslot in 25-54.

TV3’s Story launched their very own holiday hit ‘Christmas in New Zealand’ on Friday - with all proceeds going to the New Zealand Red Cross November Earthquake appeal.
